After School Programming in Arts Learning

Problem:

During the pandemic, students were not engaging in arts learning as they previously had.  Professional teaching artists were not developing residency programs.  neuroLEARN created a solution for virtual learning and artist in residence programs.

Solution:

InstaARTS is a series of live online classes with Pennsylvania Council on the Arts rostered teaching artists. Elementary aged students participate in a survey of art mediums including visual art, poetry, theatre, movement, and music. High school students study a specific art form for the 10 weeks of classes.  Classes meet at 4:00 pm for 40 minutes.  In each lesson, artists engage students in activities that help students discover the elements and principles of art forms and the historical and cultural aspects of art.  The classes are highly engaging and result in the design of a new work of art.

Educators can join the classes and earn continuing education hours.  Teachers discover new ways to include the arts standards in their lessons.
